Both of you hit me with the same underlying argument. That there is some kind of ‘truth’ to science and this guy is ignoring it for political reasons.

Actually I had assumed taht you were taking the position that these environamentalists were stupid for their take on science; otehrwise I’m not sure what you were originally posting about.

well, if you don’t believe that science is based on some underlying truth, then why not moralize about it? Even if the evidence points the other way, who cares?
