Sorry It’s Science
Apparently, owning guns makes you happy.
Who are all these gun owners? Are they the uneducated poor, left behind? It turns out they have the same level of formal education as nongun owners, on average. Furthermore, they earn 32% more per year than nonowners. Americans with guns are neither a small nor downtrodden group.
Nor are they “bitter.” In 2006, 36% of gun owners said they were “very happy,” while 9% were “not too happy.” Meanwhile, only 30% of people without guns were very happy, and 16% were not too happy.
We should pass legislation mandating that every man, woman and child own a gun in this fine country. That would make everyone happier.

Do you know what the average weight of someone on a diet is? About 30 pounds more than the average weight of someone not on a diet. Mostly fat people go on diets.
Guns are expensive. Mostly people who aren’t really poor own guns. There’s probably lots of other random correlations out there too.

Yeah, gotta go with darwin here. It’s the money that makes people happy, not the guns:
