Fair comparison. That is, if Bush actually went after those bent on hurting us. Like Osama bin Laden. In Afghanistan. Yet for some reason we have 5 times as many troops in Iraq, a country that was no threat to the United States, or to anyone really, and who was there keeping Iran in check.
Batman was willing to sacrifice himself for the good of his city, whereas Bush was willing to sacrifice thousands of American soldiers.
And during Vietnam, when Bush actually had the chance to go and put his life on the line for his country, he hung out in the Air National Guard, which he didn’t really do.
Stop trying to canonize your hero. He’s just as selfish, fallible, and human as the rest of us. If you must praise someone, then let it be a soldier who actually sacrifices for this nation. Not our president, who’s only sacrifice has been to give up golf.

I’ve often thought of Bush in these terms. In fact, I will now refer to these last 8 years as “The Dark Presidency.”
