This Annoys Me
Pakistan decides to postpone elections. Like conservatives and liberals tyrants are always trying to find ways to control people. Tyrants distinguish themselves only by magnitude in their desire for control. While Darwin does not want the state to have expanded power to protect against citizen death by terrorism he is more than happy to restrict citizen rights to prevent gun violence. A tyrant wants both and much more.

Actaully I don’t really want the government to ban guns. I just think that your arguments about more guns making people safer are ludicrous, and choose to attack them when they come up. I do think fewer people would die from gunshots if guns were outlawed, but, that’s not the only effect I take into consideration.
I often think that you do yourself, and the libertarian position, a disservice by trying to support that position with weak arguments. The argument that more guns makes us safer is extremely tenuous, and has nothing to do with libertarian ideals. I’m much more impressed by the argument that the government shouldn’t have control over this aspect of our lives, but you rarely make that argument when the issue comes up.

You would vote against gun control laws? Color me skeptical.
Its a well known fact that assaults and robberies increases in countries that have forbidden their citizens from acquiring firearms.

Steve, haven’t we already been over this conclusively? I haven’t seen you refute the data I presented. It’s funny that you just repeat your argument and hope no one notices instead of trying to refute my source. One might almost be led to believe that things like data deny your arguments the substrate of fantasy they need in order to survive, so you just ignore such.
